Happy New Year! I hope that you enjoyed some time with your family and friends over the past few weeks.

It is with sadness, that I write to advise that our inaugural branch manager, Damien Foster, has tendered his resignation and his last day in Lara, will be this Friday, 10 January. Damien has been offered and accepted a Senior Manager role at Ocean Grove & Queenscliff Bendigo Bank branches.

Damien has been with the branch since the very first day, 10 years and 7 months ago.  His leadership has been instrumental in helping to build a strong and profitable local community bank branch over this time and he will be very sadly missed by the Lara community. On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank Damien for his contribution and congratulate him on the new role. These branches are very lucky to have him.

We have already begun the process of advertising for a new manager for Lara and will keep you informed once an appointment has been made. If you have any questions, you can contact me direct here.

On another note, we are all aware of the devastating situation we are facing in Australia with the bushfire crisis. It is utterly heartbreaking to see what is happening in so many communities. If you are wondering how you can help, Bendigo Bank has partnered up with the Salvation Army with a disaster relief fund.  100% of proceeds contributed going towards bushfire relief. So far, in only 96 hours, over $5 million has been raised. You can donate at any branch, or via this link or via the donate button below. Please consider supporting these communities in need.

Stay safe everyone
