Lara District Community Bank has signed on for a 3-year sponsorship deal with the Lara Food & Wine Festival.
The festival is run by a volunteer committee to showcase Lara, boost tourism and build pride within our community.
We are proud to be supporters of this major festival that is enjoyed by thousands of people every year.
Sponsorship from the Lara District Community Bank enables the club to hold a successful Summer Carnival that involves clubs from across the state.
The Lara District Community Bank Summer Carnival is the last opportunity for swimmers to qualify for the Victorian Age Championships.
Lara Wildcats Baseball Club
Huge success on the field, time to build off the field and upgrade the facilities, the $22,000 Lara District Community Bank grant has allowed the Wildcats to construct a new indoor training centre. This will enable the team to train all year round and entice others to join.
Two state of the art electronic scoreboards purchased with a grant provided by the Lara District Community Bank has made Lara Netball Club one of the forerunners in having a professional and accurate score boarding system.
Having this technology has resulted in Lara Netball club reducing the number of volunteers required to perform scoreboard duties on game day.
In 2017 the Lara United Football Club received a grant from the Lara District Community Bank to install spectator seating for supporters and family to sit comfortably to enjoy the games.
SES Corio Grant
In 2013, the SES Corio was awarded a grant on behalf of the Lara District Community Bank for the purchase of a brand new vehicle for the quick response times in local natural emergencies.
A $24,200 Community Bank grant enabled the CFA to buy a new vehicle.
The response car is often first on the scene of an incident. Volunteers can assess the situation and begin work until fire trucks arrive.

For the second year, the Lara Chamber of Commerce and the Lara District Community Bank came together to host the Lara District Business Awards. This award was initiated to acknowledge all the community minded businesses in the Lara district and to recognise the support that they offer to events and groups. This support can come in so many different forms, from financial sponsorship to the volunteering of time and resources.
The 2016 winner out of 15 nominees was the Little River Hotel. As a part of the award, the victor got to nominate a Charity of their Choice to donate $1000 to; the Little River Hotel selected the Little River Primary School to benefit from all their work. Congratulations everyone!
