The importance of Community Banking to many groups in our region has been well evidenced in the last month with many submissions for funding of a wide range of projects and activities. We received submissions from 14 different groups with in excess of $200,000 requested for a wide range of local projects. All applicants will be updated in coming days.

I took the opportunity last week to wander through Serendip and take a sneak preview of the new “Wildlife Waterhole”, a project that we helped to fund earlier this year. It is looking really fabulous and will be open very shortly.  I am sure there will be a bit of social media publicity once it is open to the public.

We also assisted our friends at the Lara Secondary College again this month with their sausage sizzle in support of their fundraising Colour Run.
